Lion's Mane Mushroom (Hericium erinaceus) is extensively grown and consumed in many parts of Asia and is a favorite culinary mushroom and superfood. It has many nutritional benefits and is rich in antioxidants (beta glucan polysaccarides), vitamins and minerals.
The Lion's Mane Mushroom gets its name from the way the fruit body grows into long spines which hang down all bunched together like a lion's mane. It is found growing on old or dead broad-leaf hardwood trees in the wild and the Lion's mane used in our extracts are grown semi-wild on duanwood logs in traditional di-tao native growing regions.
