The Australian Super Mushrooms are produced using the Paul Stamets method on a base of brown rice. The fruit body grows on the brown rice substrate and makes up around 70-80% of the final product. The rest is made up of mycelium and a small amount of left over myceliated brown rice.
The mushrooms are heat treated to sterilize any bacteria, etc. This helps to improve the bioavailability and digestibility by breaking down the chitin and cell walls. Then the mycelium, fruitbody, and myceliated brown rice are snap freeze dried and powdered. The final powder is a 100% wholefood with both the mushroom fruit body and mycelium. A lot of the amazing nutritional compounds are found within the mycelium as well as the fruit body so it is great to have them as well. Add 1 teaspoon (~2g) to hot water, brew a tea or brew with your coffee. Add some honey to sweeten up the tea and make it super delicious. Add a cup of milk/mylk and a level teaspoon of Mushroom Elixir to a pot and warm while stirring, can add hot chocolate powder or honey or just have it as is (this is really tasty just with milk and my favourite method so far).
